Kansas Army MARS participates in nets daily. These region nets welcome all MARS members including Air Force, and Navy / Marine Corps MARS. The frequencies, times, and callsigns of our nets are listed in the Army MARS Netplan. During daily nets we follow disciplined communications procedures. All of our net participation is considered training, right up to the occurance of an actual communications emergency.

     Our regional organization expects to conduct or participate in several major exercises annually. The exercises provide us an opportunity to experience the conditions of an actual emergency event. They allow us to test the system, to evaluate our effectiveness with measurable data, and to implement needed improvements.

     All members are expected to participate in the scheduled exercises. Even if we are not physically available for the exercise itself we can prepare an "Essential Elements of Information" message in advance, to be handled by one of the active member stations.

     Army MARS members must submit After Action Reports to document exercise participation.
