Training:
The Cornerstone of Preparedness
All
MARS members must successfully complete the current Army MARS Basic
Training Course and final examination. On-the-air training includes
proven experience and accomplishment in every aspect of radio net
operations.
Training remains an ongoing requirement.
Training segments form a routine part of daily Region 7 Army MARS
nets. Members participate in a year-round schedule of nets, exercises,
and other operating activities. In this way they continuously test
their equipment and sharpen their skills.
